I dined in the glassed in patio area which is also air conditioned. They don’t take reservations for parties smaller than 4, so I had to try my luck walking in and was seated no problem. This was my first time dining at this Italian restaurant. I received room 1434, a king bedded corner room.įor dinner tonight I took the E train to W 4th St and went to La Lanterna di Vittorio, which is located in the area around Washington Square Park. This is one of my standard hotels I like to stay at when in New York, as it is very conveniently located to sightseeing and to the 6 and E trains. I then took the E train uptown to Lexington/53rd St and walked the few blocks to my hotel, the Marriott Eastside.
This card can pay for itself even in a weekend trip if you ride the subway or bus a lot, which I do. Upon arrival, most of the time I buy the 7 day unlimited metro card, which is what I did today. Since the extensive summer track work at Penn Station has now started, I was interested to find out whether we would have an on time or close to on time arrival and I’m happy to say we arrived on time. As is my usual, I took the 1:05pm Acela train from Boston South Station, due to arrive New York Penn station at 4:45pm. This was my second summer trip to New York this year my last being 2 weeks ago.
